Properly capable when the roads are decent
Took the Octavia RS on an Ahmedabad-Udaipur run and it handled highway duty with real composure. The 2.0 TSI has enough mid-range punch to make overtaking on two-lane highways stress-free, and adaptive cruise control took the edge off a long stretch of monotonous driving. Ground clearance at 128mm did make me cautious over a couple of rough patches outside town, but on proper roads it's genuinely unbothered. Boot space handled our bags easily, and the cabin stayed comfortable for hours. A properly capable road-trip sedan when the roads are decent.

Genuine safety and space without sacrificing fun
The Octavia RS has become our family's go-to car for both daily errands and weekend getaways around Hyderabad. Safety was the biggest factor for us, and 10 airbags plus Level 2 ADAS delivered exactly what we wanted. Boot space at 600 litres easily handles our family's luggage, and rear seat comfort is genuinely good for three across on longer drives. The turbo-petrol engine feels effortless even when driven gently for family duty. It's an expensive choice for a family car, but the blend of safety, space and genuine driving enjoyment makes it feel worth it.

One of the best road-trip cars I've driven
Did a Jaipur-Udaipur trip on the Octavia RS and it turned out to be one of the best road-trip cars I've driven. Adaptive cruise control made the highway stretches genuinely relaxing, and the 370Nm of torque made overtaking effortless without ever needing to floor it. Boot space swallowed our luggage for the whole trip with room to spare. Cabin comfort held up brilliantly over the multi-hour drive, helped by the massage seats. 10 airbags and Level 2 ADAS gave real confidence at highway speeds. Genuinely the most capable long-distance sedan I've owned.

Completely lived up to the hype
Drove the Octavia RS on some open stretches outside Chennai and it completely lived up to the hype. The engine has real mid-range punch, pulling strongly from low revs without hesitation. Handling feels sharp and planted through corners, genuinely engaging in a way most sedans in this price range aren't. Interior fit and finish feels properly premium, from the Canton sound system to the massage seats. Only 50 units in this batch made it feel genuinely special to own. If you actually enjoy driving, this is worth every rupee of the ₹56.69 lakh price.
