The honest verdict

Pros & Cons of Hyundai Kona Electric.

What we love

  • Long range: The Kona Electric has a range of up to 452 km on a single charge, making it one of the longest-range electric cars available in India.
  • Fast charging: The Kona Electric can be charged using a DC fast charger, which can charge it from 0-80% in just 57 minutes.
  • Smooth and silent driving experience: The electric powertrain of the Kona Electric makes it a smooth and silent car to drive, with instant torque delivery and no engine noise.
  • Range of features: The Kona Electric comes with a range of features, including a sunroof, a touchscreen infotainment system, and automatic climate control.
  • Safety features: The Kona Electric comes with a range of safety features, including six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, and rear parking sensors.

    • Worth knowing

  • High price: The Kona Electric is relatively expensive compared to other compact SUVs in India, which may be a deterrent for some buyers.
  • Lack of charging infrastructure: While the Kona Electric can be charged using a standard 220V household socket, a dedicated charging infrastructure is not yet widely available in India, which can be a challenge for long-distance travel.
  • Limited rear headroom: The sloping roofline of the Kona Electric means that rear headroom is limited, which may be uncomfortable for taller passengers.
  • Limited availability: The Kona Electric is not yet widely available in India, which may make it difficult to find and purchase.
  • Limited color options: The Kona Electric is currently only available in two color options in India, which may be limiting for buyers who prefer a wider range of choices.
