  Highway touring is genuinely where this SUV shines

  Do frequent Ahmedabad-Udaipur runs in the Kodiaq and highway touring is genuinely where this car shines. The 320Nm torque makes effortless work of overtaking on two-lane highways, and cabin stays remarkably quiet and composed at 110-120kmph. Stability through long, fast corners is properly reassuring for a vehicle this size. Seats are comfortable enough that 6-hour stretches don't leave anyone fatigued. Fuel efficiency on the highway is noticeably better than city driving, settling around 12-13kmpl. Build quality feels properly engineered for sustained high-speed use. For long-distance touring, this has been an outstanding SUV.

  Proven itself as a capable long-distance companion

  After 2 years and regular Jaipur-Delhi runs, the Kodiaq has proven itself as a genuinely capable long-distance SUV. Comfort over long stretches is excellent, the seats and suspension soak up highway imperfections well. ADAS on my Sportline trim has been genuinely useful on the monotonous stretches. Cabin stays quiet even at sustained highway speeds. Fuel efficiency on the highway is reasonable at around 12kmpl, though city driving brings that down considerably. Service costs run higher than domestic brands, typical for a European SUV, but the touring comfort and stability have made every long trip genuinely pleasant.

  Excellent flexibility and space for a growing family

  Picked the 7-seat Sportline for our family and the flexibility has been excellent around Hyderabad. All three rows are usable for adults on shorter trips, and boot space with the third row folded is genuinely huge at 786 litres. 9 airbags across the cabin gave us real confidence carrying the whole family. Ride quality stays supple and composed even with a full load, kids don't complain of fatigue on longer drives. Cabin refinement is a clear step up from other SUVs we considered. Fuel costs are higher than expected, but everything else about this as a family SUV has exceeded our expectations.

  Premium cabin and safety make this wonderful for family

  The Kodiaq L&K has been genuinely wonderful for family duty around Delhi. Premium cabin materials, comfortable captain-like seating even in the third row, and a build quality that feels a cut above rivals in this price bracket. 9 airbags and ADAS on this top trim give real peace of mind carrying the whole family. Boot space with all seats up is a bit tight at 281 litres, but folding the third row opens up plenty of room for luggage. Ride comfort over Delhi's mixed road quality has been consistently excellent. A properly premium, safe family SUV.
