Fast charging network makes longer trips work well
Did an Ahmedabad-Udaipur round trip on the Empowered Plus A and with the DC fast charging network along that route, it worked out well. Charged to 100% before leaving, and a 40-minute top-up at a highway charger on the way back got me comfortably home. Cruise control on this trim made the highway stretches genuinely relaxed. Real-world range with AC on settled around 310km rather than the claimed 489km, so I planned around that figure instead of the sticker number. Boot easily handled our luggage. Takes more planning than a petrol car, but it delivered without any drama.

Range gap needs real planning on longer trips
Took the Nexon EV on a Kolkata-Durgapur trip and it highlighted both the strengths and limits of a mid-range EV on longer drives. Real-world range with AC running through Bengal's humidity came in around 270km against the claimed 489km, a bigger shortfall than I'd budgeted for, so I ended up planning an unplanned charging stop. No cruise control on this trim made the highway stretch more tiring than expected. Cabin stayed comfortable through the drive, and charging itself was quick once I found a working DC point. Doable with careful planning, but the range gap needs managing on longer trips.

Competent city EV, not one for driving thrills
The Nexon EV Creative Plus is a competent city EV, not really one for anyone chasing driving thrills. 127bhp and 215Nm move it along fine in Hyderabad traffic, with decent instant torque off the line, but there's no real excitement once you're past the initial punch. No touchscreen upgrade or cruise control on this trim, just the basics. Regen braking is smooth at least, and one-pedal driving becomes second nature quickly. Build quality feels solid enough. Does the job reliably, I just wouldn't call it an engaging car to drive.

Reliability concerns denting my enthusiasm
Expected a bit more from an EV that's meant to feel modern, and ownership so far has been mixed. The 143bhp motor is adequate but not exciting, and there's genuinely nothing that makes this feel special to drive versus other EVs at this price. More concerning is that I've read multiple owner accounts online about charging errors and service centre issues with Tata's EVs, and I've already had one minor software glitch with the regen settings resetting on its own. Range with AC on drops to around 280km against the 489km claim, a bigger gap than I expected. Reliability concerns are genuinely denting my enthusiasm for this car.
